Tune-in tonight to CNN's Paula Zahn Now. The show airs from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. EDT. I'll be making a brief appearance in a news segment on the controversy surrounding the release of Kinsey, starring Liam Neeson. I sat for an interview earlier today, stating that Kinsey cooked the books on his data--payind a friend to pretend to be his statistician, stacking his male sample group with prison inmates, and uncritically accepting the word of child rapists that their victims enjoyed sex. Kinsey, of course, is discussed at length in Intellectual Morons.
GOOD LUCK! by the way "Kinsey" is getting near perfect reviews on rottentomatoes.com.
These reviewers on Rotten Tomatoes are so GLOWING! We must assume they have no knowledge of Kinsey apart from this movie and the pop-culture worship of him, because they swallow this movie and its 'hero' in uncritical adulation. If only they knew how evil, dishonest, perverted he was. Movie reviewers are more likely to be artsy urban types, so that must affect their view.
This is my favorite line:
"In a post-November 2nd world, Kinsey is just what we need."
-- Ed Gonzalez, SLANT MAGAZINE
Like post Sept 11! These are CRAZY people! That's right, what Red-state Jesusland needs to to be convinced of the acceptability of pedophilia and bestiality!
As I was awakening this morning, my alarm clock played Ken Turan's (an NPR film Critic) take on the movie. Of course there was no mention of the ridiculously flawed methods, and therefore conclusions of Kinsey's "research." The only concerns cited were those of "conservatives" that the movie "mocks Christianity and condones immorality." Nothing about sampling hookers and prison inmates, or his interest in child molestation. Unbelievable.

Go get 'em, Dan.
I finally got to see you on t.v.! That was cool. The segment was o.k. but they had that lunatic Dr. Ruth on, what a fruitcake.
It was ever so brief--I was probably on for ten seconds--but that's tv for you.
