Dan,

As a fanatic yet realistic Cowboy fan, I must tell you that your making a big mistake picking them over the Eaglets. Even with a line double what it is, despite the game being at home, the Cowboys cannot win.

Vinny has had 7 turnovers in the last two weeks against the ball-hawking defenses of Detroit and Cinci (please not my sarcasm). We have no running back, 1 receiver (we traded Antonio Bryant and Glenn is out for the year), and that's just the offense. On the other side of the ball, we have no pass rush, no linebackers and no cornerbacks.

So, with the benefit of this inside info, you and the other participants should avoid picking the 'Boys. We are, quite simply, the worst team in football.

Correction: 'not my sarcasm' should be 'note my sarcasm'. Any chance you could put an edit feature on this board?

Brad, why don't you make some picks yourself instead of questioning my picks?

The Cowboys, and therefore, NFL are dead to me. My championship hopes now rest solely on the Mavs.

Also, there was nothing else on FlynnFiles this morning for me to comment on, and I felt the urge. Now that there are other threads up, I can leave the NFL in peace.

Brad, Thanks for the advice. I took it to heart. But it is so sad to see a Cowboy fan so down. I'll return some good advice to you. You should choose another team to root for or the NFL may be dead to you for many years. I recommend the Redskins or the Steelers.

Sorry to say Brad, but Parcells is like a disease and will (after his first year tirades stop working and he is forced to REALLY coach) bring any team to its knees.

As an ardent Pat’s fan: been there, experienced that.

But, please don’t let it push you so far to the edge that you would even consider basketball as a replacement.

Gives me the shivers just thinking about it.
