CBS's Forged Bush Documents

Dan Rather is giving Dans a bad name. I'm fighting back to redeem the pride of Dans everywhere. Read my take on the Rathergate affair on TownHall.com.

How can Dan Rather be so vicious and caustic in his sentiments of our own President when he was overly respectful when interviewing Saddam Hussein years back? Calling the Butcher of Bagdad "Mr. President" when all I ever hear him refer to our President as is "Bush".

Another case of Kerry-like America hating.

We have become the "Tabloid" society at last. IT has become acceptable to manufacture information to support your theory. For instance, tabloids will always quote "a source" or "a friend" or the like. When CBS wanted to do this story and someone manufactured the documents, they bit into it hook, line, & sinker.

When W. wanted proof of WMDs in Iraq, we relied on "sources" that were not our own. Who cares, we got OUR side of the story out there, right? And we can always blame our "sources" to protect ourselves from libel.

Sorry, I get my news from C-Span & reading the Congressional record. Otherwise, MSNBC & Fox get equal airplay in my home.

Good advice to anyone...read both a conservative and liberal newspaper cover to cover each day, then digest the info yourself.

Be well,

Sponge

I would agree with that advice, with one condidtion. Don't think that reading something conservatve and something liberal will always balance you out. Sometimes the liberal paper is 100% right, sometimes the conservative one is.

Liberals seem to be better at reporting what is actually happening in the rest of the world (what US foreign policy is actually doing in other countries), while conservatives are better at reporting what is happening domestically (govt welfare programs failing and whatnot).
