John Kerry may be trailing in the polls, but his candidacy has really taken off within an all-important demographic: grown adults who like to make little children cry.
Just another act by one of those tolerant, high minded, kinder and gentler liberal Kerry supporters against a pre-school Nazi Bush supporter.
John Dean would be proud.
As poster DB demonstrates, these leftists are nuts.
Also Kerry maintains his insurmountable lead with Mothers of Soldiers Who Died in Iraq.
DEAD G.I.'S MOTHER IS ARRESTED AT LAURA BUSH SPEECH
NY Times 9/17/04
The mother of a soldier killed in Iraq was arrested after interrupting a speech by Laura Bush in Hamilton, N.J. Mrs. Bush appeared before a crowd of more than 700 people at the Colonial Fire Hall, trumpeting President Bush's efforts to fight terrorism and stimulate the economy with tax cuts. When she made reference to the war in Iraq, she was interrupted by a spectator, Sue Niederer, who shouted, "Why don't your children serve?'' Mr. Bush's supporters quickly surrounded Ms. Niederer, who wore a shirt bearing a photo of her son, Seth Dvorin, an Army lieutenant killed in Iraq in February, and the words "President Bush, You Killed My Son." As Bush supporters shouted "Four more years!" and Mrs. Bush resumed her speech, security guards led Ms. Niederer from the auditorium. Later, as Ms. Niederer stood near the doorway to the fire hall being interviewed by reporters, she refused a request to leave the premises and was arrested on charges of trespassing.
With all due respect, didn't that guy know what he was doing taking his daughter into an atmosphere like that? Shouldn't he know better?
James, I read something like your comment in a story on this occurrence. The article said that many democrat sites have called the guy a bad parent for "putting his daughter in harm's way." But don't you see the irony in this. Dems are saying that being in a crowd of Kerry/Edwards supporters is "being in harm's way." What can they possibly mean? Are they saying that democratic voters and supporters are scary thugs that one can't feel safe bringing one's 3-year old into contact with? That seems harsh. It isn't like they were at a regional meeting of the Hell's Angels, but I suppose the dem bloggers know of what they speak and if they are admitting they can't be trusted to act civilized and non-fascist around small children then I guess we should heed their warning.
Btw, does this incident have anything to do with Edwards's "Two America's"? Which half makes kids cry?
The left is so much more guilty of the kinds of thoughts and actions that they are constantly accusing the Right of perpetrating.
I find it amazing that the democrats can rationalize away the fact that a child was harassed at a free public rally and that her Father was somehow complicit in bringing into harms way. This is the kind of bassackwards logic I have come to expect from the left.
The Constitution says that he and his child have every right to be there and say pretty much anything they want.
Again, the leftist show that they have very little regard for the law of the land.
What if he hadn't had his daughter with him? Would the Demo Brown Shirts have beaten the crap out of him? It's likely.
Their actions demonstrate gross stupidity and immaturity.
Two things that seem to be in ample abundance among the Kerry coolaid drinkers.
