Relax Tax

The Democrats wouldn't have dared pull a stunt like this if Bill Clinton were still president, right? There are consequences to Democrat rule in Congress, like a proposed $10 tax on high-end cigars. Currently, the tax is about five cents per cigar. "I'm not sure in the history of man, since our forefathers founded the country in 1776, that there's ever been a tax increase of 20,000 percent," notes Eric Newman, who operates an Ybor City cigar factory. "They had the Boston Tea Party for less than this." Luckily, for my wallet, I quit smoking cigars eighteen months ago. Unluckily for my happiness, it doesn't look like I'll be starting up again anytime soon--unless I win the lottery.

So this is what we get for Congress' last self imposed pay raise? Ten dollar tax on cigars and Capitol sleep overs? Weak.

Any chance the tax will pass?

Next will be a tax on red meat. Look at what we are starting to reap after the American people had their little temper tantrum and voted the Democrats back into power in 2006. Consider the scenario if Comrade Hillary becomes the president of "The Peoples Republic Of America" if you catch my drift.

And coming soon... the death of internet radio and VOIP... In nearly one year!! For the record and phone companies, no less.

Possibly later, after they make sure that they squeeze tax dollars from E-business (maybe a VAT!!), the death of e-business. It'll be interesting to see what happens.
