Michael Moore Democrats

When Chris Matthews asked Wesley Clark last night if he denounces Michael Moore's message, Clark refused and made some foolish remark about Moore being a "man of conscience." "On the actual facts," MSNBC's Ron Reagan claimed, Fahrenheit 9/11's "pretty rock solid." I guess he missed my review. In a fawning interview, Moore himself told Reagan that Fahrenheit 9/11 was "a small piece" of what will bring down the Republicans this November. Moore actually sat in Jimmy Carter's presidential box at the convention.

I suspect that tonight, Michael Moore will have a tougher go of it. He'll appear on The O'Reilly Factor, whose online poll had eight-five percent of respondents saying that Michael Moore is worse than Al Franken.

Soo....do ads for his movie violate McCain-Feingold, or not?

I know this is terribly trashy and gossipy but seriously, is Ron Reagan homosexual? I am fairly well convinced of it but can't find any real confirmation. The fact that he thinks Moore has got his facts down is another clear indication of deviation on his part.

Who really cares.

I don't think he is, Brian.

Word.

Ron Reagan is not a homosexual. Niether is Charles Nelson Rielly. Nor Nathan Lane or Kevin Spacy. Nor is Morrisey. Ditto too for George Michael. I've had my doubts about Michael Stipe but I guess he is butch. Same goes for Jimmy Sommerville. Ted Nugent, apparently, is a fag.

Morrissey used to say he is asexual didn't he? Like he has the ability to let a finger or something break off and grow into another person.

I saw Michael Stipe in a club in Athens once, there was techno music playing and about 15 assorted people there. There was no one on the dance floor at all except Stipe and two friends of his. He was writhing and gyrating around not so much like he had lost his religion but more like he had lost control of his nervous system. It was really a surreal scene.

Here's a quote to go along with what describes the Democrats and Michael Moore (Fahrenheit 9/11):
"When you tell a lie, don't tell a small one. Tell a big one so that more people will believe you." - Adolf Hitler

The quote works good with my research project "Turning down the heat of Fahrenheit 9/11"... :-)

This whole thread is gay...

Tony,

1.) Why don't you study a bit of grammar before you post. You have at least two errors I can see.

2.) You're just offensive to Germans and German-Americans everywhere. No one in this country (except perhaps the Knights and the Skinheads and their ilk), merit comparisons to Hitler and to his "big lie" strategies; certainly not anyone from the two major political parties.

...besides, if there's anyone lying here, it is W: This Administration is the least forthcoming one since Nixon's...

Posted by: Le Gadfly on July 28, 2004 02:22 AM

I would say least forthcoming since Clinton. This whole era of Bush I-Clinton-Bush II has been a pretty sad stretch.

And yes this thread is gay, sorry I started it.

Le Gadfly: The quote is not aimed at all at Germans - it is aimed at Michael Moore and the mass supporters who believe everything he says.

I've gone through the transscript of the movie myself and have already proven that there are lies in it.

I'm sorry if you took it the wrong way.

Also I did another search on the net and found the quote to be:

"The great masses of the people will more easily fall victims to a big lie than to a small one."

I dinstictly remember being told the other one in High School by my History teacher.....

Look, let's be honest: Michael Moore's sole allegiance is to his bank account. The only thing that rattles his "conscience" is when its balance starts to fall.

Yes, Michael Moore is a greedy media-slob.

Yes, there are things said (and cuts made) in Fahrenheit 9-11 which are misleading and, in at least two cases I know of, false.

That doesn't change the fact that the movie packs a punch...think of Moore --like Anne Coulter-- as one of the early American political "pamphleteers" in the second half of the 18th century.

If you don't like his "pamphlet," then write your own, or write a written, real pamphlet exposing the errors of the movie (which sounds like what Tony is doing -- any links, Tony?)

I didn't mean to be rude, by the way (Mols accuses me of being "mean-spirited towards Michael), but I do think that comparisons to Hitler really don't make much sense. Hitler (and Stalin) were totalitarian monsters who set up state apparatuses to wipe out millions of people.

If you want a fair comparison for Michael Moore and their lies, why don't you point to pro-British pamphleteers, or (in the 20th century) movie-makers like Leni Riefenstahl. But Hitler comparisons just don't help your case.

Le Gladfly: That is correct...i'm researching and providing links to the information I find, so at the very least there is some backup.

That's not to say I won't put a link into the project if it proves Moore's point.

The whole point of this project is to see just how much truth is in the movie, not to simply disprove it just because.

It;s ironic though, how many people have told me to go check out Moore's website as he has links to prove his points and how some people tell me to research some rightwingnut.com website for the info...

Personally I would rather research it on my own so that I know for myself that I put the work into it and I found out the truth, and there will be no doubt in my mind after that, regardless of the outcome.

If you're interested I would be happy to post links once I believe i've built up substantial arguments for the scenes...
