Scary, Scary Guns

"Congress should restore a ban on military-style assault weapons," the president said Wednesday afternoon, "and a 10-round limit for magazines." But the guns Americans assault other Americans with aren't "military-style assault weapons." In Obama's Illinois, for instance, FBI statistics show 377 gun murders for 2011. Just one of those 377 gun murders involved a rifle of any kind, let alon an assault rifle. Read my piece @ the American Spectator on how the guns that receive the most attention are the ones that do the least killing.

As lynyrd skynyrd once said, "hand guns are made for killing, they ain't no good for nothin' else".

12,000 murders last year, 8,500 gun related.

As compared to 334,000 murders by abortion.

Right, like a bunch of guys with box cutters could kill 3000 people. Give me a break.

What we need to band are violent and/or crazy people. But the liberals would rather have them walking the streets so that their “rights” are not stomped on. Public safety be damned!

They could ban all the guns on the planet but were does banning the implements of murder stop? Do we ban gasoline when some nut decides to mass incinerate people?

We keep hearing that we can't indict all Muslims because of the minority who choose Jihad and murder innocents. But apparently we can all gun owners because a minority who get hold of guns murder.

At the end of the day, this has nothing to do with murder or gun danger of any kind. It’s all about control and the continuation by the left to strip as many freedoms from us as possible. With, in the case of squashing Second Amendment rights, the added extra bonus of making a weaker more compliant citizenry. Just what the S.A. was designed to prevent.

This is pretty good. Gun violence being a Democrat problem that is.
