The Good Ship Cesar Chavez

Cesar Chavez gave Barack Obama his "Yes we can" slogan. Barack Obama is giving Cesar Chavez a ship. Read my column @ Human Events on how the Obama administration naming a navy vessel after a union icon won't save the sinking labor movement.

As long as I never see a U.S.S. Theodore M. Kennedy, I'm mostly ok with the naming of Naval Vessels.

This one though does seem a bit stupid. But that sort of makes sense, doesn't it?

Wait, wasn't there already a ship called the Theodore M. Kennedy? Went down in the waters of Massachusetts with all hands? No wait, I'm wrong. The captain managed to save himself...

When they Christen the Cesar Chavez, will they make sure the wine is made with California grapes?

That was another kind of boat - a 68' Olds Delmont. And it was lucky for Scuba Ted that he was a Kennedy.

I doubt that they'll ever name a naval vessel after the Communist Senior Senator from the Baystate, but they are building an 'Archive' named after him at the cost of $38 Million taxpayer dollars.

Funny how that works. Most former Presidents have to have money raised to build their legacy libraries or whatever. But We the People are being forced to pony up big dollars that we as a nation don't have to honor this leftist reprobate.

asdf:

Ted's was not Theodore. It was Edward. Ted was a nickname.

OMG - you're right. I know that but had a brain f@rt.

Pardon my laziness.

Edward Moore Kennedy. How many times have I read or said that! ;-(

Brain farts are allowed. I bet I suffer from them more than you do!
