J-E-T-S* Jets* Jets* Jets*

"Absolutely no truth to that whatsoever," Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum responded to media inquiries earlier this season regarding rumors of the Jets filming the Patriots last season in Gillette Stadium. "Completely false." But, as New York Newsday reported Wednesday and Jets coach Eric Mangini confirmed, the Jets did videotape. NFL rules state that taping must be done off the field, not in the coaches' booth, and in an area "enclosed on all sides with a roof overhead." The Jets taping outside from the mezzanine level above the endzones clearly broke this rule, just as the Pats taping on the sideline clearly broke it. Not only did the Pats refuse to play this trump card when the Jets tattled to the league, but the Pats refused to tattle to the league in the first place. They just asked the Jets employee to leave and left it at that. So, when does the New York Post begin to place the "caught cheating" asterisk next to the Jets' 3-10 record?

Just goes to show you what a class organization the Patriots are. They didn’t whine; they didn’t cry. They just paid their hefty fines, lost their first rounder and proceeded to take it out on the league with their play on the field. Just another reason to love and respect these guys.

Nobody will place an asterisk next to the Jet's record. They haven't won as much as New England so nobody is quite as jealous of them or as hostile toward the Jets.

More respect for the Patriots? They cheated. So what if they accepted the consequences without crying. They cheated. Not sure how that would give you more respect for them.

Not that everyone didn't know it already, but using the topic of this post as an example, most NFL teams do exactly the same things as the Pats do. Or did.

The Pats got caught, paid their fines and moved on. And they've paid dearly without whimpering about it.

I don't see any other teams being called on this but I do see other teams pointing the finger and being dishonest about the accusations when they do the same things themselves.

As much as you'd like it to be a perfect world, it ain't and things happen. And when they do, some wallow in self pity and others step up.

I have tons of respect for those who can step up through adversity.

Adversity is playing against a team who had an unfair advantage over you because of illegal video taping.

Ken, if you're serious, you and anybody else who make statements like that need psychiatric help.

To observe how the Patriots have played this season and attribute their performance to anything other than talent and organization is just crazy.

I get that crazy talk from a Jets fan friend of mine from NY who can't stand the fact that his team $ucks. I always thought he was a smart guy but when he starts that rant, he sounds dumber and dumbest.

I know you get sensitive about your Pat's. Don't worry, I do respect what they have accomplished so far this season.
