After a 22-month layoff, Kostya Tszyu's dominating performance Saturday night did nothing to quell the idea that pound for pound he is the best prize fighter on planet earth. Tszyu destroyed Sharmba Mitchell, one of the best fighters in the world, fighting in the best division--140 pounds--in boxing. Tszyu knocked down Mitchell four times in three rounds before the referee called the fight. Tszyu's unorthodox style and deceptive power makes him a hard man to fight and an interesting man to watch. Here's hoping he takes on one of the many other exciting fighters in his division--Arturo Gatti, Ricky Hatton, Floyd Mayweather, Jr., etc.

You need to provide a pronounciation key next time you write about some of this guy Tszyu . . .

Yeah, that was a fairly sloppy match from Mitchell last night. He was both far too excited and nervous, moving around like a rabid monkey. While Tszyu was very calm and collective.

They say that Tszyu is considered a puncher, while Mitchell is more of a boxer. It really seamed like a reversal of roles to me.

On a side note, it was great to see Mike Tyson there and in high spirits. I'd love to see him fight again, but only if he gets his act together.

PLUS! Next week (Sat. 11/13) we got a great heavy weight card with both Byrd(IBF) and Ruiz(WBA) defending their belts and an undercard with Holyfield. Can Holyfield make a comeback after that incredible defeat by the hands of James Toney from 2 years ago? I guess we'll find out... AWESOME!!!

Now that I think about it that fight last night looked almost like something out of Rocky IV, where Drago was dominating Creed. Even the way Tszyu and Mitchell were moving was fairly similar.

The cold calculating Russian takes on over the top Black American showman. Yeah, that's comparable to Rock IV alright.
