C-SPAN Appearance

I will be on C-SPAN today at 3 p.m. (EDT) moderating a panel on "Great Books to Read in College." I will be making about five minutes of opening remarks at 3 p.m., introducing the three panelists, and facilitating the question and answer period. The event is part of Young America's Foundation's National Conservative Student Conference.

"Letters to a Young Conservative" and "What's So Great About America" by Dinesh D'Souza are both necessary guides for a young conservative in college, in my opinion.

Also, for a REAL look at US foreign policy, instead of the giant strawman that College professors will be prepared to throw out, I recommend "The Pentagon's New Map: War and Peace in the Twenty-First Century" by Thomas PM Barnett as well as all the works of Thomas L. Friedman.

Dan, why do you schedule these appearances right when I'll be on the 10th green? Break a leg!

Those of us without access to Cable or Satelite TV this afternoon might be able to see the show at this sight:

Dan:

Just a note to let you know that I will be watching your appearance on C-Span. I recently read your book on "Why The Left Hates America" and enjoyed it. I also passed it on to Linda Deldon (Nick Deldon's mom). She also enjoyed it. I also have the book "Intellectual Morons" and will get started on it before the summer ends and football starts. Let me congratulate you and wish you continued success in your endeavors. You are a credit to your fine family and the town of Arlington.

I enjoyed very much watching the conference. I don't agree with some of your views, yet I found it refreshing the critical approach it was given during the conference.

Keep writing.

Lookin' good Dan.

Bellow is head and shoulders above the other two. And I agree with him that "Closing of The American Mind" is a brilliant book.

I thought all three panelists were excellent. Bellow came off as pompus at first but he warmed up and was quite funny. The kids asked excellent questions. The director asking the kids to write a one page essay was classic. The looks on the kids faces was priceless.

Will it be re-aired later tonight or over the weekend?

Well done. Nice Introductory presentation. Was interested in that tidbit regarding the publisher's disclaimer with Witness. Shows how far we've come.
