Duane "Dog" Chapman murdered another human being in the 1970s. That didn't stop him from gaining a cable television show as America's favorite bounty hunter. Now, in private conversations, he used the "n" word repeatedly. His career is over. Some sins are unforgivable.
And what makes you think that using certain words is not worse than murder?
What country do you live in?? ;-)~
I don't know his story, but didn't he go to prison?
I can't believe that bounty hunting is legal anyway. How scary is it that this guy and his family are out enforcing the law?
It stands to reason, doesn't it? If you want to make money with the PC entertainment machine, you have to live by their PC standards.
Brad, we either have Bounty Hunters (inaccurate in a way since this is mostly "bail bond" work) or simply let poor people sit in jail until they are tried for crimes they are accused of.
That is, mainly what he is doing is tracking down people for whom he has posted their bail when they don't show up for court and he faces losing the money he shelled out on their behalf. I don't know if there is a good alternative to that line of work.
Also, I think he was convicted of either manslaughter or conspiracy to commit murder, I can't remember which but it was as part of a motorcycle gang he was in where he knew of a murder of one of the bikers I think that was going to take place. I don't think he committed first degree murder. So maybe using racial profanity in anger to your son is ONLY worse than manslaughter.
So what, the man used a degrading word. Look at the job he is in, around scumbags 24/7. you begin to talk the talk and walk the walk. way to go Bra!!! i'll watch your show more often now. Duane you the man, stick to yer guns, and round up all the scumbag "n***ers , crackas , dirtballs out there!!!!

and if you have to use a dirty word to get you thought the day, go right ahead.
It's an ugly word with no real purpose, but the fact is there is a double standard regarding it's use. Many black comics use it constantly in their routine and quite a few black people I know use the word to describe themselves and other blacks. So what is it? Is the word acceptable or isn't it?
Only in a gutted, PC world would the use of any word be worse than commiting a serious crime.
Having said all that, I'd personally be happy to never hear the word nigger again.
What I never understood is why, if it's such a vicious word, do black people use it constantly in general conversation?
I would expect that if it were that bad (something like using the 'C' word to refer to a female) that you wouldn't hear it. But, there it is.
Society has become so whimpy when it comes to words and comments. Can't anybody just let things roll off instead of trying to make a court case out of, what essentially comes down to, bad manners?
You know, I could never figure out how this trailer trash and his lovely wife and children got their own show anyway. It's like watching low-lifes policing low-lifes.
It's TV in the new millennia, that's how. Don't forget, Anna Nicole Smith and Paris Hilton had their own reality shows as well.
And Flava Flav??? Hello??? WTF!
Who watches this $hite?
I really enjoy Dog's show. It has a great story arc to the episodes. It is similar to COPS but much better in that the criminals are humanized much more on his show, and w/ no one having guns the captures are actually more intense. And their piety is nice to see displayed on t.v.
Much better than most of reality t.v. which usually has no redeeming qualities.
Actually what are the "reality" programs that are arguably decent? I say Dog the Bounty Hunter, The Dog Whisperer, and What Not To Wear. I don't watch t.v. hardly, really just to watch sports but those 3 reality programs can be defended on conservative grounds I think.
