Return of the Eighties

Numerous acts that ruled the charts in the 1980s are back with new music. Support FlynnFiles by buying their new releases here. Bruce Springsteen returns one month from today with Devils & Dust. Billy Idol's Devil's Playground is his first release in more than a decade. Judas Priest's Angel of Retribution features the band's reunion with metal god Rob Halford. The original Duran Duran has reunited as well, but their album Astronaut strangely has no reference to Satan in the title and thus has sold just over 200,000 copies. U2's How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb is doing better, debuting at number one in fifteen countries and selling over three million copies stateside. If you buy one of these CDs, certainly tell us about it in the comments section.

The U2 album is fantastic. Of course, Edge only has one guitar, but that's aside the point. I don't think Bono's lyrics have been this good since Achtung Baby. "Love and Peace (or Else)" and "A Man and a Woman" should be singles along with the two already out. Not a bad song on it.

The 80s came back in 2000, when we elected Reagan-2 to the white house. =P

I highly recommend an incredible CD from 1987. The alternative group Mr. Giobi with their album "Recordings from House A". The best track by far is "irrefutably soused".

Mr Hall's concept album: Frosted Flakes: Dandruff, Detention and Debauchery really rocks too.

Playing right now from the Media Library on the ol' PC: 'Bette Davis Eyes.' And followed by 'Stray Cat Strut.' "I'm flat broke, but I don't care; I strut right by with my tail in the air..."

Great call echo 5 mike. That Mr. Hall album is incredible. My favorite two favorite tracks are "infuriated discharge" & "salacious indecency"
