Rudy Giuliani admits to being a "big admirer" of John McCain, confessing that if he weren't in the race for president he would support the Arizona senator. Translation: Please endorse me when you drop out Senator McCain. I want your donors, your volunteers, and your voters. Rudy Giuliani is not dropping out of the presidential race, so he won't have to support Senator McCain. Senator McCain may be the first top-tier candidate to fall, so Rudy's faux-endorsement is really a clever way of petitioning an endorsement from McCain.
Those two are made for each other. Actually Romney too. Maybe Giuliani and McCain can convert to Mormonism and all three can go shack up together in Utah, "Big Love" fashion, and leave the rest of us alone.
I suggest that everyone spread the word about Ron Paul's candidacy to your friends and families, maybe send them copies of his downright fantastic campaign videos available on youtube as a way of introduction.
If you know anyone at all in Iowa or other early GOP primary states encourage them to get to the polls and vote for Paul. Let's send a message that frauds like Rudy McRomney don't deserve to be Postnmaster General let alone President and that the two parties have to get back in step w/ the country.
Rudy's a smart guy and a shrewd pol. It was a slick move as he knows McCain is gone and his supporters will be looking to hook onto another heir apparent. Is Rudy that guy though? He is a Republican but certainly not a conservative, having demonstrated socially liberal tendencies.
In any other political environment, where the two parties were not as polarized as they are today, I would say that Rudy could be seen as a man for all seasons and might have a chance to pull a Clinton and have some appeal as a moderate Republican. Not sure about 08' as the libs will go strictly for a Dem and the cons will go strictly a GOP'er leaving the moderates in both parties, who may be suffering from some Republican President fatigue, to possibly shift to the dark side.
On a related note, doesn't Hillary Clinton sound like a mean old aunt standing over you telling you to eat your peas? I think the national suicide rate would go up if we had to listen to her for four years.
whats wrong with that?
