Iceberg, Left Ahead!

Rudy Giuliani is the frontrunner for the Republican nomination for president. He posts a double-digit lead over his competitors in almost all the national polls. Yet, the former mayor of New York made his career by out-lefting the Democrats. Here's Giuliani supporting the fringe position of government financing of abortion. Here's gun-grabber Rudy suing the gun companies for, among other things, "manufacturing many more firearms than can be bought for the legitimate purpose of hunting and law enforcement." Here's Giuliani arguing for even more porous borders. Thank goodness for YouTube. When Rudy Giuliani became mayor of New York nearly fifteen years ago, he was regarded among conservatives as the posterchild RINO, squish, country-club Republican, Rockefeller Republican (pick your favored insult). Now, many of those same conservatives want to make him president. His popularity shows, in microcosm, the leftward swing of the Republican Party in the Bush years. It also demonstrates the degree to which means have become ends for conservatives, many of whom would rather elect a Republican than elect a Republican who will institute conservative policies.

Outside of what I read about Rudy's popularity and what some polls say, I don't know one person who is going to vote for him. You could say that since I live in the Redest of Red States that that makes sense, but I'm talking about people who only vote Republican. Is there a Rudy stonghold out there? Must be. The man and his politics and personal attitudes disgust me. If his claim to fame is 9/11, then that's easy. Even Bush looked good then.

He cannot win the support of the religious conservatives, and therefore, he cannot win the general election.

It's one thing for a conservative to support abortion rights on the basis of an odious government intrusion in private affairs if abortion were illegal, esp. in the first trimester. It's quite another for an alleged conservative to want taxpayers to fund it. Surely the result of all those years in Manhattan.

Giuliani, was warned those buildings were going to collapse well beforehand. He is complicit and a criminal of epic proportions. He is getting tremendous compensation. He is the perfect puppet candidate for the elitists, along with Hillary, Obama, McCain, etc. Its all a show. You have no real choice, "they" like to give you the sense that you still have your freedoms. The truth about Giuliani will precipitate, just give it a few more months. www.tvnewslies.com

I will say that I'm mildly shocked at Rudy's strong projection into the ring of likely winning primary candidates. Polls are polls but a subsection of the American population are not driving this process. For whatever reason, he seems to have the support of the establishment. Whoever that is. I don't get it. He did the job he had to do as Mayor in a time of crisis but does that equate to becoming Presidential on a National stage? I think he's too socially weird and squishy to be a viable and serious choice.

"Complicit and criminal"? Conspriacy theories abound.
