Big Sister

Barack Obama's Apple Computer, 1984 ad is powerful stuff. Democrats don't like foregone conclusions as much as Republicans (see George W. Bush, 2000; see also, Boring Bob Dole, 1996). Hillary Clinton says nothing. She wants the nomination handed to her without a proper vetting of her ideas. Obama highlights that, and in the process, damages the image of the woman who would be president.

Obama stands for what exactly?
He's against the war and ...?
I know two people one supports Hillary the other Obama. If you ask them what their candidate stands for they don't have a clue.

So, what...you hate black people? Or do you hate women? Which is it?

I hate candidates who have done nothing, stand for nothing, and that seems to be their big selling point. I can't stand people who support candidates based purely on their image and don't have a clue what the candidate stands for.
Oh, but wait, I don't like Obama or Hillary and I'm a conservative so that makes me a bigot.
Sorry Homer I forgot.
Silly me.

That's ok. So, which is it? Blacks or chicks?

We here in the Republic of Mass. have had a preview of what an Obama candidacy might look like. To make feel good about themselves, 56% of the voters elected a totally unqualified person of color knowing very little about him except for what he told them. Which, was that he would raise taxes and give illegal aliens premier citizen status. Well, guess what? His first two months have been a complete disaster as he was never prepared to handle that public sector job. But, he has worked to lay the groundwork to keep his campaign promises. Makes for entertaining press, but it's a lesson to those who think that anybody can do the job.

Just to clarify the ad while is for, but not by, Obama...So when you say "Obama highlights" its not anything that he did, or endorsed.

r.c.

man "premier citizen status" gotta get me some of that.

sorry about that first sentence, I think you know what I meant, just in case:

Just to clarify: while the ad is for Obama it is not by Obama...So when you say "Obama highlights" its not anything that he did, or endorsed.

I get you RC. The ad is not by Obama, just like the Willie Horton ad was not by GHW Bush. It's by his supporters. Sorry for implying that it was an official Obama ad in the post.
