Newsweek retracted its claims of Koran desecration by American interrogators. Too bad they can't retract the riots and deaths that ensued. Newsweek acted recklessly. But not as recklessley as the Muslim rioters. Ideas have consequences. So do actions. Newsweek's scribes deserve our scorn. But their words didn't kill the riot victims. Muslims did.
Point well taken, Dan. However, the fact remains:
Newsweek lied, people died.
Not too sure, Dan, how much the retraction will help. This is a paranoid part of the world. They'll say Bush told them to retract the story and has started a cover up.
Christ. Newsweek has cost us big time in the War on Terror. G'damn.
Damn the truth! SOMETHING had to be reported, didn't it?
hell ya something had to be reported, the liberals are gettin kinda slow on their Bush-bashing stories. The public thirsts for controversy, so NEWSWEEK delivers! Next they will say Christ himself came back to earth and told the editor there that all christians should wipe out all muslims.
Based on the wholesale outrage that’s been generated by Newsweek’s trash report, it is clear that most people do not agree with or condone their actions or even their opinions of our troops in the first place.
So, whom are they targeting? Are they writing crap like this for the gratification of themselves and a small group of other U.S. haters? Maybe their looking for converts to build their numbers?
Either way, this would have backfired on them.
Libs again prove themselves not to be that bright and very much insulated from the real world.
