Condi the Zombie

Condoleezza Rice is a zombie. I know this is true because I saw her zombie eyes with my own eyes at USAToday.com. It's not like the photo was in the Weekly World News or some other supermarket tall-tales sheet. USA Today, yeah the USA Today, uncovered the scandal of the living dead running the State Department. Okay, well, to my embarrassment Condi Rice is not actually a zombie. USA Today just photoshopped her picture to make it appear so. Michelle Malkin exposes the depravity of grudge-bearing journalists. Do check out the Malkin link because this story proves the nostrum that a picture is worth a thousand words. In this case, two pictures are worth a thousand words. A few of those words are bias, deception, slant, mean-spirited, lie...

Oh, there's no media bias, and I got that straight from Dan Rather so you can believe it. How are we supposed to have faith that the media is even trying to get stories straight when shenanigans like this go on? USA Today needs to fire somebody, and then they need to revisit their mission as journalists, not partisans.

The republic is being destroyed and has been sold to the highest corporate bidders and THIS is what right-wingers (and childish newspaper editors) choose to focus their efforts on?

May God save us all!

If the Republic wasn't destroyed after eight years of Democratic negligence when political favors were sold to the highest foreign bidders, I think it will survive the current regime.

And even with the nasty press with their diry partisan tricks, the Dems still can't win.

Hahahahahahahahaha.

Thank you for your concern regarding the photo of Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice that was published Oct. 19 on USATODAY.com. As you know, Rice’s eyes appeared unnaturally bright in the photo.

I’d like to explain how that happened. USATODAY.com, like other news organizations, often adjusts photos for sharpness and brightness to optimize their appearance when published online. In this case, a USATODAY.com editor sharpened the photo and then brightened a portion of Rice's face. Those changes had the effect of distorting the photo and failed to meet our editorial standards for accuracy and integrity. The photo has been replaced with a properly adjusted copy and an editor's note has been published here: http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2005-10-19-rice-congress_x.htm. The photo did not appear in the USA TODAY newspaper.

The editors of USATODAY.com will make every effort to ensure that something like this doesn’t happen again.

Ohhh... I always miss the good stuff :( USA Today have removed the old pic.. Oh well, lets face it, it's not zombie eyes you have do worry about with Condi - it's those white pearly things hanging from her gums!!!

Bruce, the link still works to Malkin's site showing the doctored and undoctored photos, so USA Today's removal of the picture shouldn't make you miss seeing the before and after shots--which are quite disturbing.

Ahah! Right you are... was in a rush for the bus when I posted that comment... My bad.

BTW, I reckon Condi looked more like the woman from "Lair of the White Worm" than a zombie - iris was all serpentine ;)
