If you haven't got your fix of the CBS scandal on FlynnFiles, then go to Rathergate (sorry, no superscript here), a new site entirely dedicated to the controversy. They name the man alleged by some to have fed the story to CBS. They name Viacom's top shareholders, and provide their email addresses. And they have sent CBS more than 5,000 faxes. Who's behind this guerrilla internet activism? None other than Mike Krempasky, the designer of FlynnFiles.com.
Drones. Mindless drones.
Sure DB, as if you don't get off at the "Billionaires for Bush" activist street theater troupe.
Conservatives can read Thoreau as well.
I like Mike! He seems like a great guy to have a beer with.
DB-
honestly you seem to be a good representative of one of the dems. main supporters. Incoherent insults, dumb smart-ass comments, and you fly off the handle at the slightest criticism.
Don’t be a sore loser, instead shut your yap and open your mind or at least try to be pleasant.
Currently, there is a move afoot in Congress to start an investigation into this document scam by CBS and get to the bottom of how they could take unsubstantiated and uncorroborated documents and use them to slander a sitting President.
Think of them what you will, but any President (even that scumbag Clinton) deserves the respect and honor of the office. At least in public.
Dan Rather and CBS have crossed the line here and have been so blind in their hatred of Bush, that they have totally disregarded their ethics and professionalism to foist a dishonest hoax to help their chosen candidate’s chances for election.
Even if a formal investigation never materializes, the public is now very much aware how corrupted and slanted the big network news outlets are with regards to the alleged news and how they will do anything to report a story real or made up.
People are noticing and not watching.
Ultimately, it’s nice to see a washed up looney, liberal like Rather go out to pasture on a sour note and pay for his transgressions.
From Drudge:
"CBS executives on both coasts have become concerned in recent days that Dan Rather's EVENING NEWS broadcast has plunged in the ratings since the anchor presented questionable documents about Bush's National Guard service."
People are starting to pay attention, not just the bloggers.
I have been pleasantly surprised at how good the Washington Post's coverage of this CBS flap has been.
Conservatives may read Thoreau, but I don't think a man who protested against the Mexican-American war, of all wars, is going to support the warwomgering you "conservatives" love to engage in.
And Bolely Boy. Why don't you go wash the mid-size. You watch too much TV
DB, do you read this site?
I usually don't like to cut and past stuff as I'd prefer to be original, but this blurb about Rather is another classic:
"Rather spoke after interviewing the secretary to Bush's former squadron commander, who told him that the memos attributed to her late boss are fake -- but that they reflect the commander's belief that Bush was receiving preferential treatment to escape some of his Guard commitments."
Rather repeated this as his belief. That, even though it is agreed that the memos are fakes, he believes the contents of what was being said in them. Whaaaaaaa?????
And then he calls for Bush to answer the questions they raise. The FALSE documents, that is. Double Whaaaaaaa?????
Ay Carumba!!!
