The United States Marine Corps was founded 234 years ago. And 219 years later, I stood on those yellow footprints at Parris Island, South Carolina. "We don't join the Marine Corps to go to college. We don't join the Marine Corps to make a lot of money. We join the Marine Corps because we want to be the best." That comes from a motivating birthday video put out by Commandant General James Conway. Watch it here, and Happy Birthday Marines!

Happy Birthday Marines and Semper Fi.
There have been ups and downs I'm certain, but life under a "Commander in Chief" who hasn't a bloody clue what he's doing along with a platoon of politicking upper echelon officers who have tied your hands and that have allowed for you to be called criminals by the political class and the press have made your lives and the fine jobs you do much more difficult.
I joined the Corps to fight for freedom and make the world a better place but I was betrayed by our so-called criminal justice system. I shall one day regain my honor.
Yes, Happy Birthday to all my great neighbors at Quantico!
