I announce the launch of the FlynnFiles book club. The club consists of the FlynnFiles community reading a book and then participating in an online book discussion. The inaugural title is F.A. Hayek's The Fatal Conceit. Please order the book through the link provided and read it prior to late June. At that time, I will in multiple posts highlight a few key themes on Hayek's final book and open it up for reader debate and comment. Discussing a book with other intelligent people is a good way to gain a better understanding of a book. Participation in the book club means ordering the same edition of The Fatal Conceit as the other participants, reading the book in full, and participating in the discussion. With these three requirements in mind, who's in?

I like the idea. I've actually been considering taking the train into the city so that I have more much-needed time to read. However, I'm going to sit this round out, as I'm not all that interested in the book. I have to finish my book on Thomas Moore that I've never been trying to get through for the last few months. Maybe I'll jump in the next one.

I love Hayek...so I'm really going to consider this Dan! Great idea! I think Hayek's "Road to Serfdom" is one of the best books i've ever read, so this should be good!

What is the exact date we need to finish the book by? Or is it just "late June" ?

Why don't we discuss it chapter by chapter?

We would all have to agree to a date to have each chapter finished. If we can do that that would be a good plan.

I can't read this one but when you read something by Flynt,Goldstein or the bio of John Holmes, then count me in. Echo 5 out.

Great concept but I will pass on this topic. Like echo 5 mike I will wait until books by Redd Foxx, Mick Jones, Johnny Rotten or Bob Crane are considered as Book Club material.
