Huge Honor

I awoke this morning to learn that I am the beneficiary of a huge honor. Thomas Sowell has named Intellectual Morons as among 2004's best books. In his year-end column on books, Sowell writes: "Intellectual Morons by Daniel J. Flynn was one of this year's best books. It shows how the intelligentsia have for years fallen for unbelievably stupid--and often tragic--notions on everything from the environment to Communist dictators." Thomas Sowell has consistently put forth some of the best books over the past several decades. He is one of America's leading intellects, so his endorsement is a bit overwhelming. Let me reciprocate Sowell's Christmas-gift suggestion of Intellectual Morons by commending The Vision of the Annointed to my readers as a book definitely worthy of slipping under the tree.

Congratulations. That's a great endorsement.

Congratulations Dan. Yes, your book is good, real good. But is it as good as Nathan Gale's book on Black Sabbath that he wrote in the 6th grade on the back of a notebook? No. No it is not.

Much ups. Respect.

fantastic! "Visions of the Annointed" was an incredible book indeed! Although, I remember reading that Mr. Sowell is most proud of his book "A Conflict of Visions" - it's part of the Vision Trilogy that Sowell has. Maybe this book is your first of the Intellectual trilogy - your next one could be "Intellectual Ding Dongs."

Congrats to you Daniel, I am quite proud of you as I have said in the past, keep up the good work

Nice work Mr. Flynn. We all knew you had promise back in the 5th grade when you did an insightful piece on the corruption at Fidelity House about the one-day pass fiasco. Your candid depiction of President Ed Woods and his blatant misappropriation of funds with the one-day pass revenue shook the very core of that institution. I will never forget the title of your story. "Fella's...50 cents please" The rise and fall of Ed Woods.
