Ron Paul has a way of bringing out the liberal in conservatives. They speak liberal--"racist," "extremist," "crazy"--when talking about the Texas Congressman. It's because Ron Paul makes so many conservatives look like liberals in comparison that they talk like liberals. The exposed are insecure. Attitudinal pressure passes for intellectual persuasion among the feverishly anti-Ron Paul pundits. Read my column @ Human Events on how Ron Paul makes some conservatives uncomfortable, particularly the ones uncomfortable with conservatism.
If one were truly liberal and was forced to make a choice between Obushma or Paul, he or she would be forced to choose Paul.
I'm offended by your exclusionary language, which fails to consider both the transgender and trans-special (I continue to fight for my right to wear the monkey suit to work) communities.
I'm pretty sick of it all already and Iowa isn't even in our rear view mirror.
We're over $15 Trillion in debt and the President is looking to raise the debt limit and double down on borrowing as quick as he can to spend money we don't have to support a bigger and more intrusive government. So Donald Duck could run against the Marxist-in-Chief and I think he'd have the vote of most informed and concerned citizens.
But, if the GOP is serious and looking to make sure Che Obama gets thrown out of the White House on 1-20-2013, they need to hedge their bets better than an eccentric old insider who has zero chance of winning most of the Conservative vote and a percentage of the marginal vote.
