Used Cars

The Cars haven't released an album since 1987. Bin Laden, email, cell phones smaller than footballs, and much else has come to pass in the quarter century so in between records. So how is it that a band that hasn't put out new music since the Reagan presidency sounds so 2011? Read my review of The Cars "Move Like This @ the American Spectator.

email predates 1987 by quite a bit

You write music reviews like a liberal--which is to say very well.

Bin Laden and smaller-than-football cellphones predate 1987 too. I guess my point is that normal people weren't aware of these things (I first encountered somebody sending a message online--not sure if it was email--in college in early '93, I think). I heard that David Bowie was using email regularly in the 1980s.

And a large majority of business people, as well as the Reagan admin were using email as well. The normal high-schoolers were not aware of it though, you're right.

Somebody refresh my memory - when did Al Gore invent the internet? That was the precursor to email was is not?
