The implication seems to be that bin Laden's death should be 'cheered.' I shed no tears for bin Laden. But there's something unseemly about cheering his death. I thought the Vatican's response to such cheering was correct:

"Faced with the death of a man, a Christian never rejoices, but reflects on the serious responsibility of everyone before God and man, and hopes and pledges that every event is not an opportunity for a further growth of hatred, but of peace."

We should not have gone to war in Iraq or even in Afghanistan. BUT we should send SEALS anywhere to take out the enemy. If Pakinstan was not helping then so bet it and we invade for a short time and leave.
