Barack Obama was born in Hawaii. This simple truth is anathema to a growing number of partisan Republicans. As I write in my column @ Human Events, the people most repulsed by the people who accused George W. Bush of masterminding 9/11 and stealing an election have become those people. This is bad for America. It may be worse for the GOP.
I think there are still some legitimate questions pertaining to our alleged President's birth. So I too could be considered a 'Birther'.
Be that as it may, I would agree with you that there are many more important real world issues regarding Barack Insane Obama that are by far the more immediately dangerous and pressing.
The problem that I see is that the electorate is ever more dumbed down and uninformed about the issues that are most important and it does not take much for a candidate or an elected official to bring attention to themselves by stumping on a relatively unimportant one.
At the end of the day, I would agree that, even if true, it is nothing more than a diversion.
And you can bet The Charlatan in Chief likes it that way.
It remains to be seen, but could Obama be setting the stage (Hugo Chavez style) for a government energy takeover, the same way he and his government have confiscated the auto industry, medical industry and the banking industry?
In his new world order of ever expanding and ever intrusive government, businesses need to play along to get along. And if they are not F.O.O., they are demonized, restricted by government and in line for eventual failure unless they capitulate and get the blessings of The One.
Since his emaculation, he has done a good job of shutting down exploration and production of our big three energy sources, oil, gas and coal and now with an expressed directive to his corrupt DOJ will push harder than any other President to go on a witch hunt on price gouging when they should be investigating themselves for the causes of $5 a gallon gasoline.
Does he have a birth certificate or not?
Well I, for one, love it. Keep the crazy $hit up until everyone becomes a laughing stock. Then we'll see our country as it truly is, maybe...
A Certificate of Live Birth, which is the only document ever provided by the O zombies , does not have the legitimacy or finality of proof that the long form document that most everybody who was born here can produce within a day’s time has.
Ok, so let’s just say that’s not a big deal.
But is it not curious that virtually nobody knows ANY details about this guy? The conditions of his family history are murky at best (then and now); his associations are obscure; his credentials, how he has been financed; his high school and college commendations and grades. All unknown other than hearsay.
The bigger issues, more than the fact that these omissions tell who is isn’t, are that they tell us more about who he is. Although, by now we kind of have it figured out after observing his destructive policies.
And here was a hint for anybody interested enough to read ‘Dreams from My Father’:

My question is this. The way I read the Constitution is....it says "natural born", not "native born". Doesn't that mean if his mom, or his dad, or both are citizens then he is a citizen and therefore eligible to be President? Does it matter where he was actually born? Which brings the question. What is on those documents they don't want us to see? That's what I'm curious about.
At this point, if there is a legimately legal document, I think what might be on it is some piece of embarassing information that the O Team does not want out and publicized.
Overall, why else would he spend so much on legal gyrations to keep any of his documentation secret?
Could be that his Father was not Barack Hussein Obama the First, might be listed as caucasian, maybe anything that would point to him being more of a fraud than we already know him to be.
Lawrence Auster had some posts on his blog (View from the Right) that strongly suggest that the reason Obama doesn't want to publish his birth certificate is that it might show that his parents weren't married. If that is indeed true, I can understand why Obama wants to keep the birth certificate out of sight.
I think now would be a good time for the states to start requiring that anyone filing to run for President, or in a Presidential Primary, to publish full documentation demonstrating eligibility for the office. Of course these laws will have to take effect after the 2012 election.
