Welcome 300,000,000th American, whoever you may be. You can learn quite a bit about one's view of humanity by observing how one spins this milestone. "300-million population not enough, US expert says," reads the headline from Catholic World News. "300 Million Americans Will Take Great Environmental Toll, Report Warns," reads the headline from National Geographic.
"300,000,000th American is an anchor baby," says me.
Welcome to Amerexico.
As if we needed proof that liberals are, in fact, a bunch of racist aristocrats: here comes HeHe right on cue.
Foxnews: "experts say illegal immigration pushed total past that months ago."
DUH!! Nobody wants to see the truth of Illegal Aliens being a serious security problem in this country. All those politictians in DC are standing around with their hands on their eyes, hands on their mouths and their ears plugged up. Big corporations like Tyson or Walmart will never be indicted on hiring illegals because they are lining the pockets of politicians with fat bribes.
Yeah ok.
It was a comment on a typical Rushian response to this stat.
But, you were right HeHe. That statement demonstrates that you do have a grasp on reality.
So true RRW.
First of all, chances are we already have way over 300 million people. Virginia Abernethy of the Carrying Capacity Network just released a new study (not unline) which shows that the number is probabl much higher.
Secondly, I have never, ever, heard in my entire life up until that article in the catholic news that we don't have enough people.
I once participated on a debate on immigration with various open borders advocates and supposedly someone from the Population Research Institute was on my side, but he ended up giving a long speech abou t how if we get rid of multiculturalism, open borders is fine.
While I know some people there, and they are good people, they are people who are all catholics who base their views on population on thier opposition to birth control. There's nothing wrong with that, but to pretend that they are "experts" as opposed to people pushing their own theological agenda is dishonest.
Americans don't like crowded societies, and there low birthrates show that, as does their opposition to legal and illegl immigration. 80% of population growth is from post 65 immigrants and their descendats. Stop them, and you'll stop the growth.
Which brings us to the idiocy of the national geographic article. Despite accurately discussing the problems with over population, nowhere did they even mention that immigration.
