Comments: Through Oliver Stone's Looking Glass

You all have some pretty big conspiracy theories too if I'm not mistaken.

The leftists believe this crap. When they can't twist the facts to support their flawed and erroneous theories to support their failed ideology, they make things up by attempting to re-write history.

Every leftist propagandist past and present has used the same techniques.

I think the first and third episodes of Untold describes Stalin as a brutal tyrant who was beloved by most Russians at the time of his death. Usually a simplistic conservative worldview doesn't adequately describe the actual state of the world.

I find it interesting how 21st Century American liberals who have known nothing but the comforts and freedoms that this country has to offer lionize and admire Communist mass murderers and dictators.

Che, Fidel, Mao, Uncle Joe - liberals seem to think they were all misunderstood and really quite beloved by the people who were the targets of their destructive philosophies.

Have I said that liberalism is a mental disorder lately?

How conservative, massive government tit sucking, states treat their United States citizens is a mental disorder of the highest order.

You pompus and arrogant fools don't know how to connect to an article like this

or any of the annectdotes wherein. That is psychotic, anti-social, and honestly, a little retarded. You are detached from reality in a mental fugue if you believe this is justice. But this is the Paul Ryan model of service, where 2/3 of people in poverty that qualify for FEDERAL services don't receive them.

I haven't seen this documentary yet but I know from past experience that Stone is fond of his over-simplistic theories. When his conclusions about the JFK assassination were challenged by many professional investigators his response was something along the lines of "what other conclusion can be drawn"? He's an arrogant guy. He tends to remind me a bit of Ted Nugent in a "my opinion is the only valid one" kind of way (BTW I am a Nugent fan).

ASDF makes a good point about some of these left wingers in this country who have never had to live under the yoke of these tyrants but seem to hold them up almost as deities. PMA makes an equally good point that many of these brutal tyrants were originally seen by the people as liberators. In my recollections from history courses the Bolsheviks were initially seen as liberators from the "divine" rule of the czars. Didn't turn out that way change can bring about a certain amount of hope and history tends to hang its own label in these figures.

I'll check out this documentary and make up my own mind about what it means; in the meantime it is hard to get worked up about what the Hollywood crowd has to say.

Kill War/Heha: It's nice to know some things never change. I'll check out your links anyway.

The problem with the conspiracies surrounding the JFK assassination, and even 9/11, is that a proper trial never took place where evidence is examined and theories are proposed and defended in a jury trial presided by a judge. The Warren Commission Report and the 9/11 Commission Report are disgusting, obfuscatory, and wholly inadequate for the gravity of the crime.
