I know I'm a little late and you're in the midst of the program, but bring up the Paul-Grayson amendment to audit the fed. Ask if your listeners believe the fed should be audited and ask if liberals in Boston believe the fed should be audited. Good luck on the show.
Great show last evening. Until you started to bully the callers.
There ought to be a law!
"Read the article by Jill Schlessinger at CBS News' Econowatch and see how little Timmy Geithner enriched his Wall Street friends..."
I did and thanks for the recommendation. I posted a comment on Dr. Dean Baker's blog post on that same topic. This AIG fiasco is another damning piece of evidence of state-corporate collusion among a very large body of circumstantial evidence that points to intentional rather than accidental or mishandled behavior from regulators and the Fed, which is another reason why the Fed should at least be audited.
I read an excellent Matt Taibbi article on Sarah Palin, which you might not enjoy, however there was a remarkable comment by someone who posted under the name jonmeachem who drew similarities between Obama and Palin as political figures who rose to the top not based on their ideology or ideas, but on their charisma and background. This commenter asserts that Obama received a free pass from the media while Palin did not. I don't agree with all the points the commenter raises and its a long comment, but it's a unique summary I thought you might like reading. You can find the comment by using control-f "jonmeachem" (without quotes) at this link here.
