Why Didn't He Throw His Shoes at Saddam?

Muntadhar al-Zaidi, the shoe-throwing Iraqi journalist whose bias is about as subtle as his American counterparts', never hurled his footwear at Saddam Hussein. Think about that.

Has this maroon not gotten the memo yet that if Saddam were still in power and he had thrown a shoe at him, he would very soon be watching his feet, legs and then the rest of him go through a wood chipper? Instead, he insults the guy who makes it possible for him to have the freedom to throw the shoe and not get executed for it.

Bush is so done anyway. He doesn't care. He even called off the Secret Service who were going to, appropriately, rough the guy up.

The question is: when will Muntadhar al-Zaidi be on with Keith Olbermann or Katie Couric?

What good is the freedom to throw the shoe if you never throw the shoe?

Bush has good reflexes, the way he ducked the two shoes.

Just lucky for GW that is wasn't a couple of knives.

I don't know. With all the barbs thrown at the President over the past seven years, I'm not sure a couple of knives would worry him at all.

How 'bout that reporters arm, though? Pretty good couple of tosses for someone from a soccer playing country. Quarterback, anyone? Detroit Lions, perhaps?

That really hurt! I'm gonna have a lump there, you idiot! Who throws a shoe? Honestly! You fight like a woman!
