Lawyer Dennis Edney labels his client a "young, most vulnerable boy." The U.S. government more accurately describes him as a terrorist. Did you catch the highlight reel of the teenaged-terrorist Omar Khadr crying in a Guantanamo Bay interrogation room? The occupational hazzards of jihad include death, lifelong injury, years in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and YouTube videos of you acting like a wuss. These very real risks negate those illusory 72 virgins, no? As Khadr lifts his arms above his head, he complains to a befuddled Canadian interrogator that he can no longer use his arms. "I lost my eyes," the woe-is-me act continued. "I lost my feet. Everything!" "No," the Canadian official responds, "you still have your eyes and your feet are still at the end of your legs." Do you think Khadr has weeped for 1st Sgt. Christopher Speer, the medic he allegedly killed with a grenade, as much as he has weeped for himself?
But wait, Dan, there's more! Canadian lawyers are saying that it's not for sure that he threw the grenade. That's what is so great about civil proceedings on this stuff, it sounds like we have to establish beyond a reasonable doubt amidst the fog of war.
You can act like a MAN!!!!!
This "poor young kid", a Canadian citizen, was caught on the battlefield, armed during the fire fight. There are witnesses to the act of him throwing the grenade. He is doing what he was trained to do when captued. This is a tactic that taught durig their basic indoctrination. These "kids" are not just taken off of a truck handed a rifle and send down the hill to the battle. they train them. They know what they are getting into just as much as our brave young men and women do. The "kid" travelled from North America to where he was captured to do what he did with one purpose in mind, to kill Americans. He is not an innocent child. so please don't sit there and feel sorry for him just because he has some tears now because he faces the consequences of his actions.
