Representative Government

Twenty-four years ago, Jamal Jafaar Mohammed bombed the U.S. and French embassies in Kuwait. Now he sits in the Iraqi parliament. Remember all that talk of democracy serving as an antidote to terrorism?

democracy is a joke, only way to stop terrorism is to kill the perps. and there supporters. and i mean "out terror the terrorists".

We give most of our former terrorists chaired professorships at universities.

The war really isn't about fighting terrorism or weapons of mass destruction. These are just pretexts the Bush Administration uses to give their imperial crusade the gloss of legitimacy. So what if there are "terrorists" in the new Iraqi government or that Saddam Hussein's regime, despite its cruelty, was an effective balance against Iran? None of that matters as long as the real goal -- a permanent occupying force in Iraq -- stays on course.

Yeah right. That insidious Bush administration is glossing over its “imperial crusade” (slick choice of words there) by working to free the population, initiate and support a democratic form of government while pouring billions of dollars into infrastructure and working to re-build the country.

However misguided this action may have been from the beginning, I doubt many people except the Leftist hate America first crowd believe that this is in any way an imperial operation. But, America has never had imperial intentions.

As usual Eric, you’re highlighting the delusions of the Left.
