Had Tom Fox been an Arab instead of an American, a terrorist instead of a peacemaker, a Muslim instead of a Christian, and tortured in Abu Ghraib instead of some clandestine kidnappers' den, his murder might be the lead story on ABCNBCCBSCNN and the only story on Al Jazeera.
Dog bites man rather than man bites dog.
Lead story in Dubai....go figure.
I am going there for St Patricks day, I'll read it then.
Here is the Rush take on the issue

Ha Wayne....I'll be the Irish Village (beside the Tennis Stadium) in Dubai on Friday. Come have a drink.
I like to think that we hold our own government to a higher standard than we do for terrorists.
I welcome this commentary on the MSM's poor standards on this butchery. I'd like to add that I find some comfort in my modest assumption that, given Mr. Fox's convictions, his soul was both calm and unbending during his final ordeals.
Hey, no barbaric scenes showing naked pyramids or prisoners with underwear on their heads and you know it's not newsworthy. Got to keep the beheadings and murders of Western innocents out of the news.
The Abu Gahrib incident was obstensibly a "man bites dog"
The military--at least in principle-- issupposed to be held to a higher standard. They are supported wtih our tax dollars, they have a court system that makes things like sodomizing prisoners illegal, and we expect them to not do evil things.
Terrorists, on the other hand, are expected to kill, torture, and do other bad stuff. Hence, when our military tortures and kills people for no good reason (at least if its not under the ageis of an approved project like say bombing Serbia) then its news. When terrorists do it, it isn't a big deal.
Everyone in America knows that terrorists are bad, Not enough know that the military is too.
