The Rules Are There Are No Rules

In the UFC, you can kick your opponent in the head, hit him when he's down, and stomp on his toes. Just don't punch him after the bell. After getting dominated by mixed-martial artist Josh Koscheck this weekend, a frustrated Paul Daley snuck up behind his opponent and punched him in the face several seconds after the final bell had rung. UFC President Dana White responded by firing Daley from the promotion. "I don't give a s--t if he's the best 170-pounder in the world," White explained. "He'll never come back here again." The hardline stance is refreshing, but, coming from a promotion that once marketed itself with a "There are no rules!" catchphrase, a little confusing.

Aren't James Toney and Ricardo Mayorga getting ready to make their UFC debuts? Maybe there will be a saying soon "Old boxers never die, they just go on to fight in the UFC."
