Super Bowl Predictions

Are you ready for some football? After seven month of suffering, football fans can once again enjoy America's present pastime tonight as the Tennessee Titans travel to Pittsburgh to take on the Super Bowl champion Steelers tonight. With this in mind, I welcome the readers to make their Super Bowl predictions in the comments section below. My prediction/wish is...

New England over Dallas.

Dunno, but it's great.

Steelers over da Boyz.

My actual prediction is this: A new world war will begin shortly -- probably around weeks 3 or 4 in the NFL season. Like the 2nd World War, our brave boys will sign up and go off to war, leaving only those unfit for service behind. By my calculations, it will largely leave the current rosters of my two teams unchanged...

If I’m smellin’ what you’re cookin’ here Homie, I would say that the way things are going, it could be soon when items that provide entertainment value are not very high on our list of priorities. Things seem to be getting serious rapidly.

It could be worse though. Like having to queue up for a whole day in a dirty crowded emergency room while bleeding from that gash in your forhead and waiting for some government doctor to stitch you up? Or not.

In the meantime....Steelers over da Boyz.

Homer, I would include the Raiders and the Lions in your calculations.

ASDF, as a Cowboy's fan, I can only hope that they'll make it to the show. Sadly, realistically, can I really expect too much more than another 9-7 season?

All I can say to you Herman is to have faith in T.R. He's slippery and smart and is the key to the Boys' success. Just hope he learns to handle the pressure when the going gets tough.

Either way, even as a New England homer, the Boys are fun to watch and I think they have a good team this year.

New England Patriots over the New York Giants. History won't repeat.

So the Chief Executive Community Organizer wants us to do community service to honor the day and those murdered on 9/11? Oh. Ok.

Madness. The Giants have no pass-catchers, the Skins have no QB, and the Eaglets... o.k., Philly is scary, but I think the Boys (barring injury) are superior. As a knowledgeable fan, I have two things to point out: double-tight as the base offense (Dallas has two stud TEs, don't you know) and Felix Jones (the return of No. 33, Touchdown Tony).

Ralph,

Good points. I am very excited to see what our two running back attack can do.

ASDF, what would be nice is to see a healthy Cowboys team, at the end of the year, have a realistic shot at the big stage. At least an NFC championship game, for Romo to truly show what he's made of.

New England over the Eagles....cementing the Pats as team of the decade!

AFC: New England Patriots over San Diego Chargers

NFC: Green Bay Packers over Chicago Bears

Super Bowl: New England Patriots over Green Bay Packers

I'm good guessin' that there will be no AYRFSF this season?

Posted by: asdf on September 14, 2009 09:50 AM

Not sure what it means against TB, but it looks like the Boyz are hitting on all cylinders. Best thing is no T.O., who will we see tonight.

One other observation: with Eli Manning playing well, you could have a circus dog catching the ball. Gints looked pretty darn good.

AFC: New England over Baltimore

NFC: Green Bay over NY Giants (GB won't lose this time)

Super Bowl: Green Bay over New England

Boys-Giants on Sunday night. We'll see what we've got after that.

Posted by: Ralph on September 14, 2009 03:41 PM

If that game is in Dallas and the Gints kickers keep hitting that score board and get tired from all of the mulligans, the Boyz have a great shot. ;-/
