BTW, congratulations Ralph and Billiam. Two weeks in a row Ralphy. Not bad for a guy who doesn't know much about football.

Gro, you left out a few games.

"Not bad for a guy who doesn't know much about football."

I decide whose uniforms I like best, and then pick accordingly.

What I was thinking Ralph. ;-)

And I'll ask again: WHY CAN'T COLLEGE DEFENSES TACKLE??!!

Causing the college world to be turned upside down. Again!

Amazin' weekend.

How 'bout them Cowboys?!

Posted by: Ralph on November 11, 2007 06:29 PM

Got to admit, they looked really strong. Romo looked almost Bradyesque and even that a-hole Owens had a great game.

This was a big test and they proved that they can go on the road in an important game and win convincingly. They will be tough to beat. Might not even loose another game and it looks likely that the Pats will get to embarrass them again afterall.

The only real test left on the Boys schedule is when the Pack comes to Dallas the week after Thanksgiving. What's amazing is that that game could be a matchup between two 10-1 teams, and most of the country won't get to see it because it'll be on NFL Network.

What the Pats did in Dallas and what they've done to the rest of the teams they've demolished has earned you the right to talk smack (lord knows I'd be doing it if I were in your shoes). But if a capable Terry Glenn is lined up next to Owens and Witten, it'll be a brand new ballgame.

I thought that it's been Detroit and Dallas on network tv for Thanksgiving since time began? Is this true that the NFL Network will be involved? That will $uck.

Was listening to a most excellent NFL pundit on radio the other day who works for the Network and he was saying that the NFL's plan is to get more games off of regular network tv and onto the pay NFL Network.

If there are fewer free options, that will be decision time.

Scratch my last. Was thinking (hoping) GB and Dallas on Thanksgiving. Game the week after. And it still $ucks that it won't be on national tv and that few will see it on the NFL Network.

Starting on the Wild Turkey at nine is not a good thing.

Yeah, the Boys play the lowly Jets on Thanksgiving. I don't know who the Lions are playing. Last season the NFL added a third game. That was blasphemy in my opinion. It's an interesting historical note that when the NFL first scheduled games on Thanksgiving, no one except for the Boys wanted it because it meant a short week. Tex Schramm realized that the short week was offset by the long week (a second bye, really) afterwards, and more importantly, having a nationally televised game on a national holiday. Because of Tex's forsight, the Boys on Thanksgiving has become a tradition.

It will be interesting to see who loses the face-off, the cable companies of the NFL (most of them do not carry NFL Network, whereas the dish providers carry it with basic service). If millions of viewers outside of Dallas and Green Bay can't see a matchup of one-loss teams at the end of November, they'll be angry. The question is 'Who will they be angry at, the League or the cable company'.

On the talk shows in Dallas today, the focus has already shifted from winning the division and the conference to going undefeated to the Super Bowl and matching up with the Pats. A bit premature, but how amazing is it that Dallas is in this position. It's been a long time coming.

Think it's great for the game. A rematch between those two would be one of the biggest SB's in a long time.
