Question: Can my Titans pick automatically change to a Texans pick if Vince Young doesn't play?
No, but you can change the pick up to kickoff should you hear VY is not playing.
I'm on the fence about the Cowgirls this week. Minn is good but they are playing at home so 9.5 may not be a stretch.

asdf,
I, of course, am biased, but if you want my opinion, take the Boys, and here's why. While Adrian Peterson is a brilliant (honestly, he's the return of Eric Dickerson, and if he stays healthy, it's only a matter of time until he's recognized as the best RB in the NFL), the Boys have an outstanding run defense. Given that the Vikes don't air it out, Dallas is going to load up in the box, and they will stop the run.
Just bustin' Ralph. Although we disagree about the Boyz/Pats, what you're saying about the Boyz/Vikes is correct. The Boyz can stop the run and after last week they will be plenty pi$$ed off and look deal out a severe beating to the Vikes. I'll be taking the home 9.5.
And after a somewhat embarassing pool win last week, I'll try to do better when I pick tomorrow.
Yea I can't say I'm overly proud of 7-5-2.
I would be bustin' if the roles were reversed, so no worries.

Must be out of my mind.
This Pats team is like no other before.
"This Pats team is like no other before."
No other Pats team before, or no other team before? If the former, I couldn't agree more. This is the best team they've ever assembled (though this last game doesn't establish that; blowing out Miami is no big deal). If the latter, not quite.
Before you can compare them to the great teams of past years, they have to win it all first. Then you can compare them to history's best. Just remember that the greatest team to ever step on the field was the 1992-93 Cowboys.
Like no other Pats team before.
I could give a fat rat's a$$ about the 92-93 Boyz.
I'm not sure I agree that the 92-93 Boys were the single greatest football team of all time. I suspect its the 72 Dolphins or one of the 80s Niners.
Not about to argue these Patriots are the greatest team ever, but they are certainly the greatest Patriots ever. If they win the Super Bowl, then we can talk about greatest team.
Anyone watching the Pats on a week-by-week basis realize they are watching something special. Seven games have gone by and their closest games have been won by 17 points. Great teams sometimes let up--that ('98?) Vikings team that went 15-1 only to lose to Atlanta comes to mind--but great teams that are well coached... I don't think so. We'll see just how good that Pats are when they go up against the Colts. Ralph is right that such superlatives mean nothing until the season is over, but my feeling watching this team is that they are the greatest football team that I have ever seen.
When I say that this Pats team is like no other before, I mean better than any of the previous Pats teams.
Consider that the Pats have won three Superbowls (so far) in the Zero decade.
ASDF: You have seen more years of football than I have, but--with the wait and see what happens in February attitude--I think I would go further and say when the dust clears this will be considered one of the greatest teams ever, not just the greatest Pats team. Ralph points to the '93 Cowboys, no doubt a great team. Consider that Brady has already thrown four more touchdown passes in the past seven games than Aikman threw that year--his career best (23) and that Moss already has more touchdown receptions than Irvin had that entire year. The NFL isn't fantasy football, but the offensive numbers that Pats are posting, particularly in the passing game, are insane.
I'm confident too. What they've done so far has been incredible and they are exuding talent and are (on offense especially) as technically sound a team as there has ever been. As a matter of fact, after watching the Pat's destroy opponents it's been difficult to watch other teams play. Compared to the Pats they all just look, dare I say, mortal and somewhat sloppy.
But there is just one true test for the Pats this year and I'll curb my enthusiasm until two weeks from now when they meet what appears to be an equally powerful Colts team. I know that Belichick won't be looking beyond Washington next week but I and many fans are alredy doing that. The Colts look mean, hungry, talented and seem to be the whole package so they will be a force to reckon with.
If they beat the Colts convincingly on their home field, even with games left on the schedule, I'll have to say that they are at the top of the heap of great NFL teams.
BTW, that second Moss touchdown on Sunday; all I could do was laugh. It was so ridiculously amazing. Can't imagine that we won't see more of those this season.
Dan,
There is no doubt we're all watching something very special with this season's Pats. When I was watching the Colts beat the Jags Monday night, I kept thinking that NE was going to destroy Indy in a couple of weeks. They are far and away the best team in the NFL (though I'm hoping by year's end Dallas will have something to say about that), and they are clearly more talented than the Pats three Super Bowl teams.
While Brady already has more touchdown throws than Aikman had, and Moss has more touchdown receptions than Irvin had, I would point out that the Dallas passing game didn't have to carry the whole weight of the offense. Emmitt ran for more than 1700 yards and scored 18 TDs that season. No NE back will come anywhere close to that this season.
Think about that Cowboys team....
(1) By all accounts Dallas had the greatest offensive line ever assembled. With Emmitt running behind them, they just mauled opposing defenses with time-consuming drives that ended in touchdowns.
(2) Dallas had the No. 1 ranked defense in the NFL that season.
(3) Dallas played in an NFC East that was stacked. The Skins and Giants had won the previous two Super Bowls. And across the country San Fran had won the two before that. Dallas would eventually beat the Niners on their own field for the NFC title.
(4) In the Super Bowl Dallas crushed the Bills 52-17. It should have been 59-17, but Leon Lett forgot to protect the ball on his way into the endzone.
Pics today in the paper of Brady and Gisele mugging it up on a beach in Miami.
If she couldn't inspire a guy to throw touchdown passes, nobody could!
Let's put it this way: at game time, Tom is very relaxed. ;-)~
