The Winter Olympics is a lot more like high school than like a GOP convention (What was Bryant Gumbel thinking?). You have the stoners. You have the jocks. And then you have the homecoming queen who everyone wants to date (Sasha Cohen is a star whether she knows it or not. I think she knows it.). The fact that several of the competitors actually attend high school makes the analogy all the more credible.
But where are the nerrrds?

I wonder if the male figure skaters lockers are near the men's hockey teams lockers. They must get tooled on. I hope they have different lunches. The verbal torment would be most painful.
Gretchen Bleiler doesn't look like a stoner, but the rest of the snow boarders do. No hockey players among the jocks? The male figure skaters would have been the ones getting beat up on a daily basis in my high school.
She looks like the Natalie Portman of women's figure skating.

Well said asdf. Bode is a complete and utter disaster. Nike is swallowing a huge marketing campaign with this knob and the return on investment will make management repeatedly throw up in their mouths. "He's brazen, he's unintimidated"......he's a moron.
Quite sad. How many people get a shot at Olympic gold and glory in their lives? And this tool throws it away.

I have to say something about our US Ski Team--except for Ted Ligety and Julia Mancuso, they have been a supreme disappointment, with Bode Miller as the biggest embarassment! Bode should change the name of his website ("JoinBode.com") to "whogivesacrapaboutbode.com". I guess we should be happy that Bode "got to party at an Olympic level".
