Cooperalls in the NHL? Painter's caps in the major leagues? Billowy clouds on a football helmet? ESPN.com's supercool Page 2 is taking a tally on the worst fashion choices in sports. My vote goes to the circa-1980s Vancouver Canucks. Who gets your vote for worst uniform in professional sports history?
Although the original logo was kinda lame, it was still 'THE' logo until somebody in the Islander's organization came up with the fisherman. Weird. Something akin to the Bruin's teddy bear shirts.
Also, some do grow on you. For instance, the Patriots transition from Pat Patriot to the 'Flying Elvis' was a shocker but ended up being pretty spiffy. I'd say that goes for the Broncos as well.
The original Tampa Bay Devil Rays uniforms tie with anything that the Padres use to wear (the feces-brown era).
'80s White Sox. I know the retro look is in, but those were some god-awful jerseys
My vote goes to the late 70's White Sox over 30 mens softball look. The early 70's San Diego Charger uniforms were weak too. Unitas looked poor in those uniforms. I believe the Flyers also had Cooperalls. I've always loved the original 6 NHL uniforms, all of them. Also Penn State and Michigan have good old school uniforms.
waynes dead on . the white sox uni's with shorts were just SAD!
How about the Northern Colorado Whiteys
Houston Astros Rainbow duds
How about ANY Uniform/costume worn by the Dallas Cowboys?
I have to go with the Chi-sox pajamas-and-short-pants look which has been a long time least favorite of mine. But then again, I don't think I saw the Orlando Thunder much, it makes Tampa pink almost respectable as a football uni.
Oops....I named the N. Colorado Whiteys and they are not a professional team. My mistake. They sure have a ridiculous logo all the same.
