On The Savage Nation Tonight

Listen for me in the third hour of today's Savage Nation, America's third largest radio program. Michael Savage has inaugurated a new feature on his program that features outside guests delivering a report on a hot topic. So, for a good seven minutes or so, I'll have the airwaves all to myself talking about Uncle Ted's return to the senate and niece Caroline's heavy-handed entrance into the senate. Tune in.

Will do Dan.

And for the record, will you be recorded? Whenever Savage does many of his interviews with experts, I often times get the impression that it has been recorded and he does a voice over sequence of questions and acknowledgements. True or false?

Only one chuckle over last night. Not even a 'wow' or light interrogative. Good piece though.

Your point about how the Kennedys demonstrate a disinterest in politics was a good one and one not usually considered as most people just accept that the Kennedys are the ultimate political family and synonymous with public service.

But, it does seem that if they weren't busy getting elected or screwing things up in government they would be just as pleased doing something else.

From what I've read, Papa Joe was a business man who, at some point (maybe due to his Ambassadorship and political appointments) decided that politics was the real way to go for the fast track to power and directed his kids accordingly.

I'm not convinced that existing generations have taken it seriously.

There is a quote from Joe Kennedy illustrating the point you make. I'll try to dig it up. Having made a killing in business, he realized at the end of the '20s/beginning of the '30s that power was shifting away from business and toward government and he reoriented accordingly.
