On Friday, July 3, I will be filling in for Michele McPhee from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Boston's Talk Evolution 96.9 WTKK. Tune in to 96.9's strong FM signal in Boston and the surrounding environ. Outside New England? No problem. Click on listen live at their website to, well, listen live. So, information junkies, I ask you: what shall I talk about this Friday night?
Cap and trade. Margeret Sanger. The abortion conscience clause. The cult of Ayn Rand. Obama = Bush (on foreign policy). Anything but Michael Jackson.
Oh yes--and Ricci v. Destefano.
How about that liberal clown Al Franken stealing the Senate seat from Coleman to give the Dems a majority?
Perhaps you might comment on the CNN report last week that Rs in a survey are 89% white folks. It must be very satisyfing. Is there any real desire to change?
Please discuss how the Pats are longshots to make the playoffs and the Boys are favorites to win the SuperBowl.
Ralphy, just get the small metal studded whip out and beat yourself on the back until bloody. Or....Let it go.
Guido - grow up.
Talk about Honduras. Their army under the Bush administration was a better ally than Mexico in catching the MS 13'S/18'S before they could get into Mexico and disco into Arizona and Texas. I hope we don't lose this support; but from the looks of the depth outside the Foss Park Dunkin Donuts during the week, the battle's been lost.
How about discussion on the Military Industrial Complex that President Eisenhower foretold and we are currently a prisoner too.
Guido, change what exactly? I can't change my skin color or background. If you think that a statistic will make me change my well-considered opinions than you're a lot further from intelligent than I want to be.
Perhaps it's because the democrats will pander to about anybody except white people--not that I care for that. But since the main appeal of the Pandercrats is their pandering, there just isn't that much to hold members of a group who wake up to the fact they are no longer being pandered to. There's more to hold the people in the groups being actively pandered to.
You should read Roger Hedgecock's recent piece on how Democratic party grew up in the south, pandering to the put-upon bigots, who only wanted to be left alone to own other people. It's easy to see how they eventually spread their pandering envelope to other put-upon entrenched groups. To be the main party concerned with what exact demographic you fall into---hey your "point" kind of illustrates that for me.
How about the third leg of Obama’s plan designed to cripple our economy (#1 - National Health Care, #2 - Immigration “Reform”): Cap and Trade. And how before being elected, Obama stated unequivocally that energy/electricity costs would go up and that a business could decide to build a coal powered generation plant but under “HIS” Cap and Trade policy, they would go bankrupt.
Couple of quotes….
“Under my plan of a cap-and-trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket . . . because I’m capping greenhouse gases, coal power plants, natural gas, you name it . . . Whatever the plants were, whatever the industry was, they would have to retrofit their operations. That will cost money, and they will pass that [cost] on to consumers.’’
In the same interview, Obama suggested that his energy policy would require the ruin of the coal industry. “If somebody wants to build a coal-fired plant, they can,’’ he told the Chronicle. “It’s just that it will bankrupt them, because they are going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that’s being emitted.’’
So, our energy needs for the engine that drives our economy will run on what? Unicorn hair and pixie dust?!
How’s that for Hope and Change?!
"I’m capping greenhouse gases, coal power plants, natural gas, you name it "
Notice that "HE" is capping. For a guy who hasn't done much of any significance in his no heavy lifting, affirmative action gimme life, "HE" is certainly an expert on everything and intends to force his will to "Change" things.
Messiah complex anyone?
