On Friday, November 28 from 9 a.m. to noon I will be substituting for Michael Graham on Boston's Talk Evolution 96.9 WTKK. The following day, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., I will be guest hosting for Michelle McPhee. If you're in New England and receive WTKK's powerful FM signal, tune in. If you are outside the reach of WTKK's radio waves, click the "listen live" button here to, well, listen live. Any suggestions for subjects to discuss on the air are welcome in the comments section.
One topic of note this week that you could spend a good deal of time on you already have a small post on, and that is how Barack's "change" looks awfully familiar.
The specific example this week that ticks me off (putting it mildly) is that Obama has Robert Rubin picking who his economic advisers will be. Rubin is a former Goldman Sachs CEO who bailed them out when he was Treasury Secretary for Clinton. Now Bush has Paulson (ex Goldman Sachs CEO) who just bailed out Goldman Sachs. And Rubin will be picking Obama's economic advisers . . . see a trend here? Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama, we are looking at possibly over 3 decades of the exact same group of liberal elitist plutocrats to run our lives and bankrupt our economy (and thus kill the regime). Change we can believe in!
Lew Rockwell points out this whole Goldman Sachs angle in a blog post of his so hat tip to him:

Shoot!
I forgot to add the best part of this oligarchical tale. What is Rubin up to these days? Why running Citigroup of course! And who has just bailed out Citigroup? Why Henry Paulson of course!
And further on the topic which financial firm has been the only major one allowed to fail? Why Lehman Brothers who happen to have been a HUGE rival to, you guessed it, Goldman Sachs! See how everything comes together so nicely? Corruption has never been this simple to follow has it?
And while we are talking about Citigroup how about their using the federal regulators (FDIC) to block Wells Fargo from taking over Wachovia (which Citi wanted) which would have saved the government from bailing Wachovia out?

Can conservatives hope for actual revolution? Hmmmmm.
Come on Batman, just drink your cool aid and everything will be just fine. You'll see.
Interesting that you mention revolution. At this time there are protests bordering on revolution going on in Iceland because of the very nature of the financial woes we have here. Hmmmmmm.
Awesome that you are getting all these radio gigs, Dan.
Just to clarify: are you really going to be hosting a show on Saturday for 14 hours?
I know you have to because it's current news and you also have to fill three hours of air, but I'm getting so sick of hearing talk about Wilkerson and Turner.
Dan, perhaps you could discuss who you consider to be today's intellectual morons. You could discuss some current events that demonstrate how ideology makes smart people fall for stupid ideas today.
Bring the high heat!!!!!
The re-birth of the Fairness Doctrine? Could dramatically shorten your fledgling talk radio career.
"A Monday New York Times editorial discussed radio ads for 'loan-modification companies.' In the process they got in a few jabs at talk radio, and specifically WABC talk radio, which hosts Limbaugh, Hannity and Levin. It sounds to me like a little preliminary rope-a-dope, with a few soft jabs, to get attention and set us up for a few one-two punches before the liberal hope of a knockout punch. I'm sure Senators Schumer and Bingaman were pleased to read this over their morning coffee.
The three hosts mentioned above are our conservative leadership by default, as there is a complete and utter vacuum of conservative political voices right now on the national stage. The liberal left would love to take advantage of that by shutting down conservative talk radio. They will do it in nicks and cuts like yesterday's editorial."
I will have to tell Jonathan because he didn't know that you were subbing in on WTTK in the past. I also was able to purchase your latest book and I think I will probably buy the book "Intellectual Morons" as he has asked about it so he gets an extra bonus book for Xmas. Glad to see you are doing so well.
I know you don't like going here, but there is still concern out there about O's place of birth and whether or not he's a legitimately born U.S. citizen.

"I know you don't like going here..."
Just keep drinking the red koolaid
"If he were born in Kenya, as has been rumored even recently, the Kenyan government would certainly have many incentives to keep that undisclosed." (Taken from your right wing fear mongering article)
If he were born in Kenya, it wouldn't negate his US citizenship status either.
2. If you are the biological or adopted child of a U.S. citizen, you were born outside the United States, and you are claiming citizenship by action of law, you automatically become a U.S. citizen if:
A. You were born to two U.S. citizen parents and at least one of your parents had a residence in the United States or one if its outlying possessions. This
residence had to have taken place prior to your birth;
or
B. You were born to parents, one of whom is an alien and the other a U.S. citizen who, prior to your birth, had been physically present in the United States or one of its outlying possessions for a period or periods totaling not less than five years, at least two of which wereafter the age of 14 years.
Form N-600? You mean for those who are applying for a certificate of citizenship?
For the purposes of information, I get your point. But he supposedly already has legitimate original documentation sealed and locked away in a vault in Hawaii that was a record of his birth in the U.S.. So at this point he shouldn't need to qualify for citizenship. Right?
All that he needs to do is to provide that document and we who have questions about his claim to be a legitimately born citizen of the United States just go away. So, why is this so difficult?
Not to mention that it demonstrates a slimy disengenuous attitude toward the people he claims to represent.
Kind of funny. As with most every organization, there is a pecking order over there at TKK. Graham had Braude on this morning talking about his clash with the law and he said that he would be filling in for Severin today. So Friday, you fill in for Graham which means that Severin takes a long weekend. Didn’t realize that Jay had top dog status.
All I'm saying is that if he were born in Kenya (as your article suggests), it wouldn't negate his US citizenship status either.
Always a learning experience Mr. Phelps.
Quoting the great philosopher Randy Moss. LOL.
I like the Kennedy talk. My favorite 'love to hate' topic.
It could be easily argued that this country would be in much better shape without them.
Especially when I hear Fat Ted defenders try to tell me how much help he's gotten for Massachusetts because of this name and experience.
Help? Re-distributing OUR money that is.
And let's not forget the damage done by Kennedy's heavy handedness on the Immigration and Nationality Act of 65' and now on his way out wants to get his name on a National Health Care bill.
