Killing the Messenger

The Climategate scandal, exposing "scientists" privately discussing the manipulation of data, reminds of the ACORN scandal showing employees of the activist group offering advice on how to evade tax and prostitution laws. In both instances, hardcore lefties have blamed the messenger. With Climategate, environmentalists immediately shift the conversation from the fraud engaged by various academics toward the hackers who obtained the incriminating emails. With ACORN--no "gate" needed; the organization is so besmirched that its name is synonymous with scandal--the group's backers immediately petitioned authorities in Maryland, California, and elsewhere to investigate the investigative reporters who exposed the malfeasance. Have they never heard the saying, "Don't kill the messenger"?

Ironically these are the folks with Question Authority! bumper stickers. Maybe they should read Question Authority, just not mine.

Typical leftist hypocrisy. Not only shoot the messenger but also hide the truth as long as it is incongruent with their agenda.

In fact, the left's message is so weak and so dishonest that the only way they can maintain their agenda is to push through policies with obfuscation and deceit.

Stalin pushed through a weak, dishonest agenda for over 25 years. I believe many politicians would do so if the people let them get away with it.

Needless to say, there is a wide chasm of difference between 1905 Russia and 2009 America. But, the same tactics used then are being used now to get the population under control and destroy our resolve and our way of life.

I don't believe that we're that numb or pliable - yet - but let's just hope that the majority wakes up and pushes back before it all slips away.

Funny though how Obama was going to not have a CHRISTMAS tree for CHRISTMAS this year at the White House and in the name of "inclusion" was going "exclude" the Christians.

In his little world of Academics and Marxists, this flies just fine. But, after feedback from people who inhabit the real world, he was persuaded to not begrudge us our Christian symbol of CHRISTmas.

Although, as O has said, if we are a majority Muslim nation, we might as well eradicate the infidels and their culture and the symbols thereof.
