I spent a vacation weekend at the beach. The sun was on vacation for most of the weekend, too. According to one expert meteorologist, 2009 may be the "year without a summer"--at least if you live in the northeast or northern plains.

Unfortunately this fits part of the global warming/climate change (whatever they are calling this month) "Theory". And I say theory because they have to prove anything and correlation does not imply causation. Anyway, the part that fits is that as the ice in Greenland melts freshwater slides into the North Atlantic and dilutes/chages how far north the gulf stream conveyor comes up the East coast. This in turn allegedly make the northeast (From DC north I believe) much colder for a longer period of time.

It dawns on me that the whole "Climate Change" fiasco it likely based on the same principle as the tree falling in the forest.

Would it be so if humans weren't around to notice it?
