I'm not sure if the producers of this extremely racy advertisement want to convey the idea Adolf Hitler was really good in bed or that AIDS is like the Holocaust. Either way, their hypothesis is really controversial.

Yes, but not equally as a smaller percentage of the sexually active population disproportionately indulge in risky behavior more frequently.
True enough. Not trying to split hairs, I just think you're painting with an awfully wide brush in your first post. Also consider what the public reponse would be if they showed two guys blowing it up in each other in the public service spot. That would be very funny in very strange Zappa-esque way but the political fallout would drown any public service value.
Do those public health spots really make any difference?
I think it's important for everybody to be aware of the risks and be encouraged to take precautions. And your point is well made I think that showing a hetero couple indulging is the only appropriate way to get the point across. But this ad is wrong on a number of levels.
Be that as it may, the powers that be and the lobbies behind them will never make the point that it is a particular segment of the sexually active population that mostly contacts and dies from AIDS.
From the beginning when little was known about it, the push was that it effected both hetero and homosexual populations equally. Since then we've learned more about it but it's still out there as if whether you hang around rest stops and have unprotected sex with multiple gay partners frequently or you're a guy who has an unprotected romp with some bar slut, that the risks are the same.
