Led Zeppelin played their big concert in London last night. "Big," of course, understates matters, but I just can't come up with a word that does a Led Zeppelin reunion justice. Here's the set list:
Good Times Bad Times / Ramble On / Black Dog / In My Time Of Dying / Your Life / Trampled Under Foot / Nobody's Fault But Mine / No Quarter / Since I've Been Loving You / Dazed and Confused / Stairway to Heaven / The Song Remains the Same / Misty Mountain Hop / Kashmir / Whole Lotta Love / Rock and Roll
Here's my ultimate Led Zeppelin set list. What's yours? What were last night's cruel omissions? What shouldn't have been included?
Still don't understand how you can omit anything from the first album. At least Zep thinks that two from their initial offering are worthy.
There were 18,000 admitted to catch the show and 20,000,000 looking to attend from around the world.
Amazing.
Looks like there may be another 'Farewell Tour' in the works.
I don't know much about music, but I do know that if the Dallas Cowboys were a band they would be much better than Led Zeppelin. The cowboys would have more hit records than any group, even the Beatles.
The Cryboys are barely a football team.
We've got Armadillos in our trousers. It's really quite frightening.
I love Zep, their music is the soundtrack to a large part of my life. But please guys, let it lay!
I don't know, I think it's kind of exciting to consider that they will go on tour. They c0me up to these here parts and I'm there.
Another aging boomer watching fellow aging boomers trying to kick it like 20 year olds. Tsk, tsk...
I would have liked to hear the aging Plant attempt The Immigrant Song.
The one wasn't always easy for a young Plant.
How about a 59 year old Plant singing the line "I'm gonna give you every inch of my love"?
Hmmmmm???
