Outside St. Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna, PETA plans a Good Friday protest featuring the mock crucifixions of three people wearing animal masks. PETA's message? Animals "suffer and die for your sins of nourishment."
Wonder how many of these morons are wearing leather shoes, jackets, belts, etc., and carrying leather wallets, purses, and handbags? Hypocrites.
The ignorance and idiocy in action of PETA-types never ceases to astound me.
Someone should ask them: do these animals' sacrifice thus atone for our sins? It must be! Because why else would the Lord reveal to Peter that not only is the law in this regard repealed, we can eat those yummy animals now?
[Peter] saw heaven opened and something like a large sheet being let down to earth by its four corners. It contained all kinds of four-footed animals, as well as reptiles of the earth and birds of the air. Then a voice told him, "Get up, Peter. Kill and eat."
"Surely not, Lord!" Peter replied. "I have never eaten anything impure or unclean."
The voice spoke to him a second time, "Do not call anything impure that God has made clean." ~Acts 10:11-15
;)
Anyway, I've written a much more appropriate message about Good Friday over at my blog. I've titled the piece: Finding the Truth of Easter in the Disciples' "Good Fridays".
Happy Easter everyone! And please don't let your conscience interfere with your enjoyment of that succulent ham.
Every time PETA protests, I enjoy MEAT in those idiots honor. Today it's a sausage and pepperoni pizza! Good eatin'!
Same here, Wm Clement. Here at the University of Florida, the College Republicans have an annual PETA BBQ (People for Eating Tasty Animals). It makes the silly geese angry.
