Such is the contempt of the current administration for conservatives that when the latter dare question the former the indignation becomes palpable. Four Americans, including the U.S. ambassador to Libya, died at the Benghazi consulate. But the Secretary of State, testifying before Congress four months after the fact, appeared bothered that members of that august body that once called her one of their own did anything but fawn. When Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin (rhymes) asked whether the terrorist attack had anything to do with a protest--which had initially been the White House line--Secretary Clinton testily responded: "What difference, at this point, does it make?" When Senator Rand Paul from Kentucky asked whether the U.S. shipped arms to Turkey that made their way to Libya (and God knows where else by this point), Clinton responded: "I don't know... I don't have any information." Sound convincing to you? That was a theme throughout. I don't know. Who has been keeping secrets from the secretary? Has the secretary been keeping secrets from us?
I don’t think that in any other time in our history have we been led by a more corrupt arrogant group of incompetent misfits.
Not only was Clinton complicit in the overthrow of Libya’s Kaddafi but her three monkeys act with regard to what she didn’t know is a complete falsehood. Not to mention the Administration’s false narrative that the attacks were caused by an anti Islamist video that nobody saw when they knew in August that there were Al Qaeda operatives casing and photographing the Embassy and the Ambassador requested additional security (i.e. – military). Which he never got.
We may recall that shortly after a dozen or so American Embassy’s were hit on, wait for it…., 9/11, that the administration had to scramble pre-election to lie, obfuscate and cover up what happened and our Secretary of State was so important to the process that they sent her out of the country to Australia and Europe on a wine tasting tour.
But, mention to the average American something about Benghazi, and they typically respond with “Ben who?”.
On many levels, this one example highlights the disintegration of our nation and our society.
Watching that arrogant shrew yesterday acting out tears and being indignant that she had to lower herself to answer for her subpar performance in the whole affair is just another example of how this crew disrespects America and its people.
Really Dan, what difference DOES it make WHY it happened? Or why ANYTHING happens. What's important now, is that we find these people, and bring them to justice. We will come, we will see, and they will die. HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA
Many people forget, and many, many more are clueless, that another Clinton P.O.S. uttered the words "we came, we saw, he died" and was an intregal part of Libya falling into the hands of terrorists.
But, forget about better the Devil you know.
Hillary Clinton and Barack Insane Obama unilaterally (along with the dupes at the U.N.) decided that Libya was not Radically Muslim enough and made their move to further destabilize the region after the fall of Egypt.
These people are the most corrupt and dangerously unstable people to ever be in control of this country.
But, take care of he non-working underlasses and it's all good.
Clinton's words "what difference does it make" went far too unchallenged by the toothless Republicans. What difference does it make? What difference does it make if it's random Libyans angry at America or TERRORISTS (which it was)? Why did no one point out that it is a pretty big difference, pretty important difference for a Secretary of State, for Christ's sake, to gloss over? The Republicans seem punch drunk just now.
Have got to say that for the most part I'm disgusted with the current crop of Republicans.
They should have nailed that arrogant witch to the wall. Instead, light questioning and when someone did ask a tough question they backed away before getting any real answer.
The whole proceeding just points to why the Libs win more consistently even though their message is a corrupt and destructive one and they have to constantly lie about it. They are committed in their plot to destroy the thread of America while the GOP is pliant and unsure of themselves.
They should have jumped on Clinton for saying that. But, instead, they shrugged with their own version of what difference does it make.
Sooner than we think, I feel like we're heading to a third party. I'm getting to the point where voting for the same old establishment Republicans is an exercise in futility.
The fact that 7 million registered Republicans stayed home rather than vote for Romney says a lot.
The Clintons, the Administration, and the Congressional Democratic caucus: three fora where sociopathy is normal. (All covered by a courtesan press).
