According to a new Time magazine poll, 1 in 4 Americans believe that the president is a Muslim. The number is so suspicious that even Time's headline strangely refers to a Pew poll on the same subject rather than its own. It suffices to say, a sizable portion of the nation thinks that Barack Obama is a Muslim. The president might help himself in this regard by lifting his prohibition on Christmas gifts to his children or showing up at church once a month. Alas, we all remember how regular church attendance worked out for Obama the last time around. With that in mind, I'd like to poll the 24 percent of respondents who believe Obama the first Islamic president (second if you buy into the rumors of Chester Arthur changing his name to Kareem Abdul Jabaar): Do they believe that he belonged to a racist church at the same time he secretly attended a mosque?
Does 'Barack Hussein Obama' sound like the name of any guy you've met in church? Hmmmm?
The Telegraph article you linked to makes me like him, actually. I agree with pretty much everything that article says Mr. Obama believes about raising kids, and also about the bana1ity of his speeches. It also said that he allows visits from Santa Claus, so it's not like he doesn't celebrate Christmas.
Homer, you've got to be one of the last people in America who believes what he says. If we're to believe that.
I guess I don't see why he'd lie about these things....
There's no reason we should be undignified towards our adversaries.
It is ironic that an ad titled Intellectual Morons is next to an article about President Obama's religion. He is a Christan who is neither phony about his faith like most GOP politicians or feels the need wrap the cloak of Christianity around unchristan ideas like kicking the poor.
The President is a good man who demonstrates his faith in his works.

Would that demonstration of faith include lying to the public about his policies, namely healthcare "reform"? Sitting in a racist church for 20 years? How about spending millions of dollars to export abortion to the developing world? He stated during his campaign that if one of his daughters got pregnant he would not want her to be "punished with a baby." Well, being that he was born out of wedlock to a 17 year old girl, that seems quite odd and hypocritical.
I would agree only that there is no reason that we should need to be undignified towards our adversaries. However, the reality is that both sides don’t play the same way and if we have learned anything from the last 30 to 40 years, and much more recently, is that the radical socialist left will do anything to move its agenda forward and that includes, lying, cheating, stealing, corrupting and skirting the rule of law - unabatedly.
It’s unfortunate, but the concepts of being noble, honest and playing fairly have been pretty much lost in the 18th century.
If we are to fight back statism, collectivism and in some cases Marxism, we need to be vigilant and play for keeps. And that includes being honest about just who our adversaries are.
Other than that, we can stand around and watch as our liberties evaporate.
Um, Dan isn't claiming that Obama is a closet Muslim James (not the other James I'll assume).
And who exactly is espousing the idea of "kicking the poor" as you claim?
I see the point has already been made that the church he did belong to for so many years has in its preacher a man of little faith yet plenty of racism so your "good man done hard by by all the nasty GOP lapdogs" (okay, I paraphrased) line of thought is a bit lacking.
So Mr. Schlaff, what tipped you off that he was or is a Christian?
Was it that fact that his father was a Muslim, and that in the Muslim faith that if you are born to a Muslim father you are automatically a Muslim? That his Mother was areligious and re-married another Muslim man and that he spent four years in Indonesia in a maddrassa? Or that his religious affiliations were sketchy until he joined the Rev. Wright’s “church” which was not a Christian one but was based on Black Liberation Theology? Or that he was recruited out of Columbia by the Saudis and red carpeted into the most prestigious Harvard Law on the former’s dime? Or how in September of 08’, in an interview with George Sephanopoulos, he had to be corrected when he said “my Muslim faith”. Or is it the way that foreign middle eastern money bankrolled his run at the Presidency or maybe it was his Cairo speech were he said that America is a predominantly Muslim nation or how he bowed low in reverence to his Saudi Sheik benefactor. Or it could be how he disrespected the Prime Minister of Israel while months later he praised the head of the Palestinians who supports Hamas. Or maybe its his stated plan to turn NASA into a Muslim outreach program, or it could be his support of a mosque on hallowed American ground or the fact that he supports morally and financially the imam of that mosque to go on a middle eastern “outreach” (read: fund raising) junket.
Outside of those things, maybe you're right that he is, in fact, a Christian.
Look, I don’t care what his religion is necessarily. Just the way his character has been molded and how it effects this country. So far; not so good.
