How patently dishonest is the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act? The president is currently strong-arming the speaker of the House, to the extent that that is possible, to accept a large tax on health insurance plans that cover a wide range of care to bankroll coverage for people who currently don't have it. The widely proclaimed raison d'etre of health-care reform is to make medical care more affordable, hence the name of the bill. But imposing taxes on existing plans will make health care more expensive. In other words, the sales pitch doesn't reflect the item up for sale.
The only more affordable government rationed healthcare will be the healthcare that those who don't pay taxes get for free.
And the care will be scarce and subpar for all.
lol
In the spirit of truly making the government rationed healthcare system the only healthcare system on its inevitable and planned move to single payer, it has come out that the, so-called, "Cadillac" health plans enjoyed by many union type members and some others will be taxed at over 40%.
Not sticking by any of his promised "transparency" rules, especially with regard to this government healthcare debacle, the more these bits of information slip out from under the closed door planning of O, Reid and a small cadre of Democrats, the more the public will be convinced of what an amazingly destructive piece of shi….eh, legislation this bill that Congress is trying to jam through is.
